Patti Edgar

Dr. Edgar directs the Samford Geosciences Career Center, a satellite of the Texas A&M Career Center, to provide career services to the College of Geosciences. She works with students, former students, employers, staff and faculty to provide resources, create events and build relationships that increase employment opportunities and help students achieve their professional goals. Dr. Edgar has been with the Career Center since 2019 where she previously served science students across several colleges and directed the annual Sciences Career Fair.

Her background includes K-12 STEM education and curriculum development and regulatory affairs and project management within the pharmaceutical industry. Her professional interests include promoting the success of women in STEM fields and working with science students who wish to explore non-traditional career paths.
