Department of Economics Undergraduate Policies and Procedures

The Undergraduate Student Policies & Procedures Handbook is an essential resource for all Economics students, providing critical guidance from admission through graduation.

Students are responsible for understanding and adhering to all policies established by Texas A&M University, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Economics.

  • Communication: Students are held accountable for all information sent via email from the university, college, the department and ECON Advising.
  • Compliance: Ignorance of a policy, procedure or stated deadline is not a valid excuse for a violation.

Upon entering the major, all Economics students are required to sign the Undergraduate Student Policies & Procedures Contract.

  • Acknowledgment: The signature confirms the student's awareness of all department requirements.
  • Enforcement: In the event of a policy violation, ECON Advising references and enforces this signed contract (instituted Summer 2025).
