All courses are available 100% online, allowing students to complete the course on their own time. There are no specific lecture times, and students complete their work by the deadlines outlined by the professor.

Every course, except the Capstone Experience Course, is offered in a fast-paced 8-week course format.

Students can complete the program as full-time or part-time students to meet their personal and professional needs.
Course Flexibility
The Master of Geoscience Online program offers two different tracks that allow students to fit the program to their career goals. Choose between the Geographic Information Science and Technology Track (Link to GIST Page) or the Petroleum Data Management Track (Link to PDM Page).
Each track offers students you to select among elective courses to tailor the program to your needs.

Our program offers an extensive selection of courses covering Geographic Information Science and Technology, Data Management, Programming and Geoscience Data analysis. To support students interested in the Energy Industry we offer a number of supporting Geology and Geophysics courses.

Students can start the program in the Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters.
Capstone Experience Course Project
Master's students participate in the Capstone Experience course in their final semester. This project-based course is a 100% online asynchronous course complete over 16 weeks.
