Biography
Kaeleana B. Ramirez is a Master of Geoscience student in the Geographic Information Science and Technology concentration at Texas A&M University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology with a minor in Coastal Environmental Science & Society from Texas A&M University at Galveston in 2024.
Her academic background includes coursework in marine biology, coastal environments, ecology, ocean science, biostatistics, and environmental science. Through her undergraduate studies, she developed an interest in how scientific data can be used to better understand natural systems and environmental change.
Kaeleana also has professional experience in education, where she has taught elementary science and mathematics. Her teaching experience has helped her communicate scientific ideas in clear and accessible ways while supporting student curiosity and learning.
Through the Master of Geoscience program, she hopes to continue building her skills in GIS and spatial analysis and apply them to environmental and coastal topics.
