Biography
Matt Husted is a Master of Geoscience student in Geographic Information Science and Technology at Texas A&M University. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran with more than a decade of professional experience in geospatial intelligence, remote sensing, GIS production, and technical software support across defense, federal, and commercial environments.
His background includes work in geospatial production, imagery analysis, full-motion video and persistent surveillance support, enterprise GIS, remote sensing software, and data-focused technical workflows. He has worked with tools such as ArcGIS, ERDAS IMAGINE, ENVI, SOCET GXP/SET, Python, and web mapping technologies.
Matt is pursuing the MGsc GIST program to strengthen and modernize his geospatial foundation while expanding his skills in remote sensing, geodatabases, spatial analysis, and scientific programming. His academic and professional interests center on practical geospatial problem-solving, data integration, and the use of emerging technologies to support decision-making.
