Dr. Edward Peter Miesch of Kerrville, Texas, who earned his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University, will establish the Dr. Edward Peter Miesch ’55 Endowed Scholarship in Geology through a planned gift with the Texas A&M Foundation.
This endowed scholarship will support full-time undergraduate students in good standing who are pursuing a degree in the Department of Geology & Geophysics.
Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by a committee of faculty and staff in the Department of Geology & Geophysics based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need, with additional preferences given to first generation students.
