Kathryn and Kenton Kuddes of Allen, Texas, will establish the Kathryn and Kenton Kuddes ’93 Endowed Professorship in History through a gift agreement with the Texas A&M Foundation. The gift will support the teaching, research, service and professional development activities of a professor in the Department of History.

The Kuddes believe that education lays the foundation for lifelong learning, curiosity and meaningful community impact. Their commitment reflects a deep understanding of how strong faculty leadership shapes student success and strengthens academic programs for generations to come.

Inspired by the lasting influence of educators and the importance of investing in faculty who mentor and guide students, the Kuddes chose to support Texas A&M’s Department of History to ensure continued excellence in teaching and research. Their gift demonstrates a shared commitment to preserving the study of history while preparing future leaders with critical thinking, perspective and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

In addition to supporting faculty leadership, the professorship will reinforce the department’s mission of fostering innovation in historical scholarship and creating opportunities for professional growth and academic distinction.

Through their generosity, Kathryn and Kenton Kuddes will ensure that the Department of History continues to thrive as a place in which teaching, research and service create lasting impact for students, faculty and the broader university community.
