Center on Mathematics of Data Science
Data science has transformed research and everyday life, but many of its foundational questions remain unresolved. The CMDS focuses on precisely these questions, advancing the mathematics of information extraction. By bringing together a broad range of internationally recognized experts in areas such as high-dimensional phenomena, statistical and machine learning theory, probability and stochastic systems, optimization, approximation, and complexity, the CMDS has been designed to make cross-disciplinary interaction routine: a place where mathematical questions meet statistical, computational, and engineering perspectives.
The Institute for Scientific Computation
The ISC is a multidisciplinary research center devoted to designing, analyzing, and implementing innovative computational tools that advance scientific engineering research and education. ISC researchers include internationally recognized Texas A&M faculty members devoted to collaborating on major national and global research efforts with other universities, industrial partners, and the government. The ISC also serves as an excellent training ground for students, both graduate and undergraduate, and postdoctoral scholars in a variety of academic disciplines within scientific computing technologies.
