The Texas A&M University Department of Physics and Astronomy is proud to congratulate Dr. Michael Youngs, instructional assistant professor, on receiving a 2026 Association of Former Students College Level Teaching Award.
Presented annually by Texas A&M University and The Association of Former Students, these prestigious awards recognize faculty members whose expertise, innovative teaching, dedication to student success, and commitment to mentoring exemplify the highest standards of excellence in the classroom. Since the program began in 1982, the awards have celebrated educators who inspire students, maintain rigorous academic standards, and make a lasting impact on the learning experience. Recipients also receive a monetary award and a framed certificate.
Dr. Youngs was one of eight faculty members across the College of Arts and Sciences selected to receive this year's honor, recognizing his outstanding commitment to teaching and the success of Texas A&M students.
