Dr. François P. Gabbaï, Distinguished Professor and Arthur E. Martell Chair in the Department of Chemistry, has received the 2026 American Chemical Society Award in Organometallic Chemistry, sponsored by Dow. As one of the society’s most prestigious honors, the award recognizes exceptional achievement in research, mentorship, and innovation in the study of organometallic compounds. This national recognition celebrates Gabbaï’s influential contributions to the field, particularly his pioneering work on main-group element chemistry and its applications in molecular materials and catalysis.
