The Texas A&M Department of Economics and one of our student organizations, Women In Economics, hosted a moderated panel with representatives from USI Insurance on the evening of October 9th, 2025. Paula Verdegaal, Assistant Program Director, put together an event in which two representatives from USI Insurance (Simone Delahoussaye and Katherine Holder ’24) spoke with ECON students about their experiences and journey from undergraduate education to their current roles with USI. Students in attendance were able to engage and ask questions and learn more about USI.
One of the Women In Economics (WiE) members stated “This was an insightful event providing a platform for students to learn about the avenues of the insurance broker industry! Our WIE members resonated tremendously with Simone’s encouraging words about the process of recruitment and building career confidence."
