Newly Admitted Freshman & Transfer Students
Howdy! We are so excited you were admitted to The Department of Economics at Texas A&M University and we cannot wait to meet you at your New Student Conference (NSC). If you have not looked over our New Student Conference page, we recommend you take some time to thoroughly review the information so you will be prepared. Additionally, we have information on the Math Placement Exam (MPE).
Now that you are admitted, please familiarize yourself with Technology Services and create your Official Texas A&M Email, as this is the only form of communication Economics Academic Advisors use. You will also need Duo Multi-Factor Authentication set up prior to your NSC and will want to go ahead and sign up for Code Maroon.
Advising Appointments
We kindly ask that you do not attempt to schedule an advising appointment through Navigate or contact us requesting an appointment. We promise, all questions will be answered at your New Student Conference. Should you have any questions you feel are pressing, please email us at econadvising@tamu.edu and we will reply as able.
