Biography
MA in Eurasian Studies and a researcher for a public policy research fund with the focus on Central Asia/Kazakhstan. Current dissertation is on livelihoods and house construction in the region of the North Aral Sea. Research interests lie in (un)spectacular landscapes, rural/urban division, marriage and kin studies, gendered household economic variations and the concept of discipline (Foucault).
