Jordan Pratt

Jordan received her BA in Anthropology from the University of Oregon in 2015, and is currently a PhD candidate. Her research interests broadly include the peopling of the Americas, Paleoindian adaptations to climate change, and using lithic analyses and geospatial data to study changes in technology, settlement, and mobility patterns. Jordan’s dissertation research focuses on the lithic technological organization of people using the Western Stemmed technocomplex in the Harney Basin, Oregon. She is currently directing excavations at Weed Lake Ditch, a stratified open-air Haskett site located on the margins of Pluvial Lake Malheur. Jordan has archaeological and geoarchaeological experience throughout the Great Basin. She has worked on field projects in Oregon, Nevada, Alaska, Florida, and on Rapa Nui (Easter Island).
