We want to give a huge shout out to two of our graduate students, Sarah Peoples and Percy Gresham, who have received some very prestigious awards.
Sarah Peoples received the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Predoctoral Fellowship (F31) from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. The NRSA program enables predoctoral students with the goal of developing into productive, independent research scientists, to obtain mentored research training while conducting dissertation research.
Percy Gresham received the RESI Grad Small Research Grant. This grant is from the Racial and Ethnic Studies Institute at Texas A&M and is designed to support a component of a doctoral dissertation, masters thesis, or major publication that examines the salience of race and ethnicity.
Well done, Sarah and Percy! Keep up the great work.
