The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences continues to gain national recognition for the groundbreaking research being done by some astounding students.
Most recently, our very own Dyamon Brown, a third-year clinical psychology Ph.D. student, and the Youth Rising Lab were featured in a prominent article by the American Psychological Association.
In the article, Dyamon discusses her research on the connections between trauma exposure and substance use and suicidality among Black youth. She also raises concerns about how federal actions and funding restrictions may jeopardize this crucial work.
It's an honor to see our students' voices amplified on a national—and even global—stage through the APA. We are so proud of Dyamon, the Youth Rising lab, and their commitment to essential research. Keep up the great work, Aggies! WHOOP!
