David Brenner

Biography

Dr. Brenner teaches courses in German Studies, Jewish Studies, European Studies, International Studies, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Film and Media Studies, and Foreign Language/Culture Pedagogy. He is the author and translator of numerous books, essays, and articles. His most recent book is German-Jewish Popular Culture before the Holocaust (2014). His current project, Schindler’s Shoah: Teaching the Holocaust and Genocide after the Cold War, explores portrayals and pedagogies of genocide in the United States and Europe since 1989.
