Biography

Born and raised in Thessaloniki, my interest in Greco-Roman antiquity can be traced back to my Elementary School years, where I remember my curiosity burning the brightest during school trips to archaeological sites and museums. Enhanced by a love for literature and history, this enduring fascination with the Classical world has prompted an exciting, worldwide academic journey from Greece all the way to Texas.

My work focuses broadly on the socio-political history of ancient Athens (for details, see CV). Currently, I am preparing a monograph that explores the influence of Athenian public finance on democratic civic behavior during the Classical period. Research aside, Latin elegy and satire are my guilty pleasures."
