Robert (Bob) Grigsby Jr. ‘76, ‘80

Bob received his B.S. (‘76) and Ph.D (‘80) from Texas A&M under Dr Irgolic. After a Postdoc at ORNL, he started his polymer career with Texaco Chemical in RIM. He stayed with the company, even after the Huntsman buyout of Texaco Chemical, for over 39 years and retired in 2019 at Huntsman. During this time, he was a research chemist, a manager, and a Sr research fellow. He is experienced in amines used in polymers such as urethanes and epoxies, dispersants for paints, and gas treating chemicals. He is married and has one son and two grandsons. Since retiring, he has enjoyed working with his two bee hives, gardening, and being a Ham radio operator.
