Harthcock Symposium

The Harthcock Symposium provides valuable networking opportunities, connecting students with professionals to explore career paths available with a PhD in chemistry.

Dow Symposium

The Dow Symposium focuses on preparing students for the job market, offering workshops on crafting job application materials, interview preparation, and presentations during a judged poster session.

Graduate Research Symposium

The Graduate Research Symposium allows students to present their research to peers and faculty, fostering communication skills and showcasing their work within the academic community.

GSPDT Workshop Series

A collection of graduate student professional development opportunities in TEACHING from the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) in collaboration with the Graduate and Professional School.

Academy for Future Faculty

As a CIRTL@TAMU program, AFF provides professional development for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to assist them to be “teaching ready” when entering careers in higher education.

Graduate Teaching Consultant Program

The Graduate Teaching Consultant Program supports the professional development in teaching of graduate students, and includes opportunities that support enhanced teaching experiences, as outlined in the Model of Graduate Student Professional Development in Teaching. GTCs are graduate students exhibiting pedagogical skills and knowledge within their disciplines. GTCs, under the supervision of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), serve as instructional coaches and peer mentors to TAs across campus. GTCs are available to conduct classroom observations upon request.

English Language Proficiency Program

International Teaching Assistants must be English language certified according to University policyThe Center for Teaching Excellence’s English Language Proficiency (CTE-ELP) program is a linguistic resource provided to Texas A&M’s international instructors (and prospective instructors) who wish to improve their spoken English skills. Support services are confidential and at no additional cost to the participant.
