Nanophysics is the study of phenomena in materials that have one, two or three dimensions reduced to the nanometer scale. These materials or structures are fabricated either by self-assembly, or, by nanolithography using photolithography, electron-beam lithography, and focused ion beam lithography. We investigate these nanostructured electronic and magnetic materials to understand their properties and potential applications in electronic and magnetic devices. Examples include semiconductor quantum well and dot structures, graphene structures, self-assembled nanowires and nanotubes, as well as superconductor-magnet nano hybrids.
