
The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) coordinates fellowship programs for PhD students and post doctoral researchers supported by several federal and foundation funders. During academic year 2024-25, the NBER is providing fellowship support for graduate students studying the economics of aging and health, behavioral macroeconomics, consumer financial management, and retirement and disability policy. It is also offering postdoctoral research support for the study of aging and health, agricultural economics, diversity in economics, economics of the aging workforce, racial and ethnic disparities in economic outcomes, and retirement and disability policy research.
The Department of Economics is proud to announce that Melissa Gentry, 4th year PhD student, was awarded an NBER Fellowship for her work studying barriers to employment for people with disabilities, with a focus on access to transportation.
