Research Interests
Howdy! My name is Patrick Grigsby. I was born in Tucson, Arizona, but moved to Texas when I was young and have been here ever since. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in History and began the PhD Program in August 2021. My research focuses on New York City politics during the late nineteenth century, particularly the role that Irish American immigration played in the creation of the city’s infamous political machine, Tammany Hall. Outside of school, I’ve always been a passionate reader and am especially a fan of JRR Tolkien’s fantasy of which I make a point to reread every Christmas. I also love traveling to explore the National Parks system.
