On Thursday, October 10th, 2024, the Department of History hosted its Second Annual Meet & Greet social and professional development event. This “out-of-the-classroom” experience provided an opportunity to gather and discuss the avenues available to enrich the student experience. Attendees included undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, coordinators and advisors from Education Abroad, University Writing Service, LAUNCH, POW/MIA Internship Program, student members of Phi Alpha Theta and the History Graduate Student Organization. Congratulations to those who completed the Meet and Greet Challenge and kudos to the brave souls who conquered the History Trivia contest! A huge thank you to all who attended and we look forward to meeting (and re-meeting) you again for the 3rd Annual Meet and Greet in Fall 2025!
Here is how attendees described the Department of History's Second Annual Meet & Greet:

We had a great turnout, and it was exciting speaking about the History Graduate Student Organization's annual conference in February to undergraduate and first year graduate students!
It was a great experience. Meeting with advisors and faculty was a lot of fun!
It was a fun, engaging event! I liked getting to meet new and friendly faces and get to know everybody!
