Something that makes the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences a department of great renown, is the many achievements and accolades earned by our illustrious alumni whose endeavors extend across the country.
One such distinguished alumni is Jared Ruchensky, who graduated from Texas A&M University in the Fall of 2020 with his PhD in Clinical Psychology. Jared was most recently awarded the John E. Exner Scholar Award, which honors the memory of John E. Exner, a pioneer in personality assessment, who was committed to advancing the science of personality assessment by empirical research in the development and application of assessment instruments.
This is just the latest in a long line of achievements that Jared has accomplished. He also completed a pre-doctoral internship at Harvard Medical School before joining the faculty at Sam Houston State University. He became a consulting editor for Psychological Assessment, a premier journal in th field of psychological assessment. Jared was also a recipient of the Vision 2020 Doctoral Fellowship here at TAMU.
Jared is an exemplar alumni that embodies the drive and ambition instilled in all students both in our own Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences as well as Texas A&M University. Keep it up, Jared! Gig 'em!
