It is award season for the College of Arts and Sciences staff, and we have another big winner on the books! It can be said that advisors have one of the most important jobs on campus. They are one of the first steps in any educational career that helps define the futures for thousands of students each semester. This highlights just how vital it is for any department to have advisors who go above and beyond semester after semester to ensure the success of our students as well as the growth of a healthy department.
Luckily for the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, we have the best of the best in regards to our spectacular advisors, especially when it comes to Lisa Bowden. As an Advisor IV, Lisa Bowden has achieved the 2025 President’s Award for Academic Advising. This award is given to academic advisors who demonstrate exceptional advising practices and embody the principles of student success. Lisa has been acknowledged by her students and colleagues as an outstanding advisor who is caring, positive, and dedicated to student success.
Keep up the amazing work, Lisa! Congratulations and Gig em!
