Biography

Dr. Natalia Pakhotina is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Texas A&M University. She teaches Principles of Economics (ECON 203), Economic Development (ECON 330), Contemporary Economic Issues (ECON 465).  With over a decade of experience in higher education, she teaches a wide range of courses, from introductory principles classes to upper-level courses, in both small and large enrollment settings. Dr. Pakhotina has been at the forefront of implementing innovative pedagogical strategies, particularly project-based learning and active learning approaches, in her large classes. Her commitment to enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes has been recognized through several teaching grants, including the High Impact Instructional Innovations Grant (H3I) and Digital Learning Faculty Support Grants. She also serves as a member of the Center for Teaching Excellence Advisory Board at Texas A&M University. Her research and professional interests include public economics, economics of education, and the application of learning technology in economics instruction.
