The minor in Spanish for the Health Professions is designed to prepare students who are interested in developing Spanish proficiency in a culturally sensitive manner within the biomedical environment. It is ideal for future professionals interested in serving Spanish-speaking clients in a clinical setting by developing Spanish language skills and cultural competency. The program complements a variety of programs in areas such as nursing, life sciences, biomedical sciences, biology, psychological and brain sciences, dentistry, public health sciences, and other professional programs in medical fields.
