Africana Studies Minor Requirements

Requirements

Students must successfully complete 15 credit hours with a grade of C or better, including:

  • Six hours of upper division (300-400) level courses
  • Select two of the following courses: AFST 201 (Introduction to Africana Studies), or AFST 302 (Gateway Course to Africana Studies), or AFST 481 (Senior Seminar)
  • Select one of the following courses: AFST 200-499, or POLS 320, or SOCI 319/SPMT 319
