The Spanish minor allows students with other majors to work on their linguistic skills while they gain Hispanic cultural competency. A great way to complement coursework in many other majors, including those in science, health, and business, this minor focuses on language-based coursework that will serve as an asset upon entering the job market after graduation.
We have identified the following disciplinary themes as key focus areas that would prepare students for professional programs and employment in careers in a variety of fields that require or would benefit from the knowledge of Spanish. The themes are recommendations and may be combined with other themes or other elective courses. Completion of theme courses does not in itself confer a minor.
