The Department of Oceanography at Texas A&M University explores the world to investigate the defining questions of the oceans’ future, present, and past. The Department of Oceanography has access to state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities. Four affiliated centers enhance the research opportunities and access to equipment and seagoing expeditions: the Geochemical and Environmental Research Group (GERG), the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP), Texas Sea Grant, and the Radiogenic Isotope Geosciences Facility (RIGF).
