Academic Advising

Academic Advising Hours:

• Appointments are available Monday-Thursday from 9:00-11:30 am
• Drop-In Hours are available Monday-Thursday from 2:00-4:00 pm
• Quick questions can also be addressed by email to  engladvising@tamu.edu 

 Drop-ins can be accessed in-person by checking in at the desk in LAAH 352. Or you may access Zoom drop-ins via this link: tx.ag/LAAHZoom

 Hours may be adjusted based on advisor availability or during high-volume advising times. This includes during add/drop week, pre-registration, and finals time.

If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment time or no longer need to meet with our advisor, please cancel your appointment. This opens your slot for another student to schedule.

To schedule an advising appointment:

1. Go to  https://tamu.campus.eab.com/
2. Click “Schedule an Appointment”
3. Select “Advising Texas A&M University” from drop-down menu
4. Select “AT - College of Arts & Sciences” from drop-down menu
5. Choose your reason for advising from drop-down menu
6. Select “AT – ENGL – see Additional Details” from the drop-down menu
7. Choose your Appointment Day and Time
8. Review the appointment details and make sure the reminder boxes are checked
9. Don’t forget to click “Schedule”,  if you do not receive a confirmation email you did not complete this step!

Force Requests: 

All reserved seats for English courses this semester have been released and it is not possible to force any student into any of our courses. Our Department will also not waive any course restrictions or prerequisites. Please check back for seats to open in a course that is available to you. You can see our forcing policies on the Registration and Force Requests tab.
