Working Groups

The strategic planning process consisted of three phrases: (1) Phase 1: Developing Recommendations for Goals, (2) Phase 2: Writing a Draft of the Strategic Plan, and (3) Phase 3: Finalizing and Implementing the Strategic Plan. A visualization of the proposed planning process that outlines the three phases of the strategic planning process can be found at the Strategic Planning Process page.

Documents and resources that were produced during Phase 1 by the four Working Groups are provided below as well as a recording of the Faculty/Staff Townhall Meeting and a summary of the Faculty/Staff Survey. Each Working Group initially created a Preliminary Report that was presented at the Faculty/Staff Townhall Meeting. The information generated at the townhall meeting as well as the results from the Faculty/Staff Survey were used to create each Working Group’s Final Report.

Four strategic planning working groups were established that aligned with the strategic goals established by the Dean’s Office. This Working Group Information and Report page provides the charge letters that established the working groups, their membership, and working group reports.

Faculty/Staff Townhall Meeting and Survey

The college hosted a two-hour strategic planning Townhall Meeting on April 22, 2025. The four Working Groups presented preliminary reports with tentative objectives and action steps. This was followed by an interactive discussion session where faculty and staff met in small groups to consider each strategic goal, the proposed objectives and action steps. The first part of the meeting where Working Group chairs presented their activities and preliminary reports was streamed and recorded. You may access the recording of Working Groups’ preliminary report presentation here.

Following the Faculty/Staff Townhall Meeting, a faculty/staff survey was distributed to ArtSci faculty staff regarding their perspectives on potential mission and vision statements as well as possible action steps the college could take to accomplish the four goals. View a summary of the survey results.
