Biography
Hey, I’m Yael, a third-year PhD international student from Israel. I’m interested in Rhetoric, philosophy, semiotics, literary theory, and phenomenology. I am investigating critical tourism and the relations between tourism power and freedom.
I received my bachelor’s degree in cultural studies from Sapir Academic College in Israel, specializing in communication and creative writing. My MA is in Comparative Literature from the Ben Gurion University of the Negev. I worked as a journalist and a teacher of Hebrew literature. Between 2017 and 2021, I was part of the Israeli delegation to the United States, serving as the internal auditor for the Israeli Ministry of Defense in New York.
