The Student Communication Association is designed to help students interested in Communication to get the most out of their degree. This association is geared toward increasing awareness of opportunities the Communication department offers for education and awareness of opportunities afforded by the skills Communication students acquire. Public Relations Student Society of America

TAMU-PRSSA is a pre-professional society for students interested in public relations, strategic communication, integrated marketing communication and social media. Open to all majors, the Texas A&M University Chapter of PRSSA offers professional development and networking opportunities, resources, and mentoring opportunities in the field of public relations, strategic communication and integrated marketing communication. Iota Alpha

The purpose of Iota Alpha is for freshmen and sophomore communication and journalism honors students to connect, develop and maintain relationships between communication and journalism, discuss and exchange ideas in the field of communication and journalism and prepare for membership into Lambda Pi Eta.

Lambda Pi Eta

Lambda Pi Eta is the National Communication Association’s official honors society. The purpose of Lambda Pi Eta is to recognize, foster and reward outstanding scholastic achievement in communication, telecommunication, media studies, and journalism; to stimulate interest in the broad field of communication; to promote and encourage professional development among undergraduates majoring in the Department of Communication and Journalism; to provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas in the field of communication and journalism; to establish and maintain closer relationships and mutual understanding between communication and journalism students and faculty; and to explore options for graduate and professional education.
