Edward Smith

Edward D. Smith is a current PhD Candidate at Texas A&M University. He has received his B.S. in Sociology at Texas A&M University and an M.A. in Sociology from Texas State University. His research interests include popular culture, classical and contemporary theory, and intersections of media, humor, and social change. His research currently examines South Park as a form of cultural storytelling that reflects generational anxieties, humor styles, and the shift of social norms within contemporary society.
