Biography
Eustache Zigashane is a Doctoral Candidate whose research examines the link between conflict and development in Africa. Before joining Texas A&M University, he completed a two-year conflict management project in the Bas-Uele province of DR Congo (2018-2020), where he was responsible for developing and overseeing the timely and effective implementation of the program. In partnership with the Center on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University (ConDev), the Congo Peace Center, the Stabilization Reconstruction Plan for Eastern Congo (STAREC), the Social Fund of DR Congo (FSRDC), and the World Bank, he constructed a detailed mapping to provide a basis for a conflict management and peace plan for Bas-Uele. While at Texas A&M University, Eustache worked as a Technical Research Consultant in a 2022 BHA/USAID-funded research project: Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA) in DR Congo. He holds a Master's Degree in Peace Studies and International Relations from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in Nairobi, Kenya, and a Bachelor's in Philosophy from the Loyola University of Congo in Kinshasa, DR Congo.
