Biography

Imge Dogan is a PhD candidate whose research focuses on how family disruptions and adversities shape adolescent delinquency, and how their perceptions of family resourcefulness can buffer the impact of early stressors on delinquency. Using longitudinal data, she explores youth resilience in the face of cumulative strain, with the goal of informing policies that support positive development. She earned her MA in Sociology from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she studied the experiences of mixed-document-status families and the challenges they face due to immigration status. She is trained in both qualitative and quantitative methods.
