Biography

Monica E. Williams received a PhD in Sociology and a Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from Texas A&M University. She is an NIH Postdoctoral Research Fellow at RAND Corporation. She has published and presented in the areas of aging in U.S. prisons, incarcerated parents, reentry and transitional healthcare for older ex-offenders, intersectionality and collective identity, and GIS related spatial analysis of concentrated disadvantage. She is also a previous Fellow at the RAND Summer Institute and at the Michigan Center for Urban African American Aging Research (MCUAAR) at the University of Michigan.
