Biography

Daniel Mullins is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at Texas A&M University. His experimental work in social psychology investigates the emotional correlates of conformity, focusing on decision-making, status dynamics, and group influence. Trained in quantitative methods, he holds a minor in methodology and serves as instructor of record for Advanced Methods of Social Research. For 2025–2026, he is the Howard B. Kaplan Memorial Fellow, studying deviance across the life course using the KLAMS longitudinal dataset. His recent conference work reflects applied expertise in artificial intelligence, examining how large language models are reshaping sociological theory, teaching, and research—alongside critical reflections about their broader societal implications.
