Dr. Holly Foster elected to lead the ASA Crime, Law, and Deviance section

Dr. Holly Foster, a Professor of Sociology and Chancellor EDGES Fellow at Texas A&M University, was elected to lead the American Sociological Association's Crime, Law, and Deviance section. Dr. Foster will serve as a Chair-Elect of the CLD section in 2024-2025, after which she will take on the Chair position. Dr. Foster is currently also a Past-Chair for the Children & Youth section of American Sociological Association.
The Crime, Law, and Deviance section at ASA is a vibrant section with approximately 500-600 members, active research, and lots of illuminating presentations at ASA Annual Meetings. The section gives out several awards for student papers, published articles, distinguished books, and distinguished scholar.
