Dr. Jonathan Reid is joining us as an Assistant Professor. Prior to coming to Texas A&M, Dr. Reid was an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University. Dr. Reid is also a research fellow at the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago, where he has piloted research exploring the determinants of law enforcement policy reform. His research interests are at the intersection of sociopolitical inequalities, the life course, crime, and the criminal legal system, focusing primarily on violence, homicide, and police-community engagement. His most recent work appears in outlets such as Homicide Studies, Crime & Delinquency, Criminal Justice Review, and Social Problems.
