Biography

A graduate of Syracuse University, Dale Rice spent 35 years as a working journalist, including stints as an education writer, city hall reporter, state capital bureau chief, business editor, lifestyle editor and restaurant critic. He teaches in the journalism studies area in the Department of Communication, including courses in basic reporting, arts and entertainment journalism, political reporting and the senior seminar on Journalism as a Profession. He serves in the Faculty Senate, as co-chair of the university’s Core Curriculum Council and on the department’s Undergraduate Studies Committee.
