Biography
Dr. Michael Rold joined the faculty at Texas A&M University in the fall of 2017. Before arriving in College Station, Dr. Rold spent three years as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at West Virginia University. His academic interests include media studies and how the television shows, movies, and music we consume help influence our sense of self and the interpersonal relationships we form. A graduate of Louisiana State University’s Department of Communication Studies, Dr. Rold teaches courses in media theories, popular culture, media campaigns, and media industries. A native Hoosier from Evansville, Indiana, Michael enjoys running and playing the guitar in his spare time.
