Nai-Yu Chien

Nai-Yu Chien (Bakan Nawi) is a doctoral student at Texas A&M. She received her B.A. in Sociology from National Chengchi University, Taiwan. Bakan has previously worked as a policy maker and public servant in the Council of Indigenous Peoples, Taiwan. Before being sponsored by the Ministry of Education (Taiwan) and joining Texas A&M, Bakan was the principal executive officer at the Indigenous Historical Justice and Transitional Justice Committee at the Presidential Office, Taiwan.
