The Texas A&M Sociology Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) offers summer fellowships to do world class research.
This program was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) under grant #1757813 for summers 2018, 2019, and 2021, and under grant #2244231 for summers 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Eligibility
NSF program guidelines stipulate that students must be US Citizens or permanent residents and be working toward a four-year degree (graduating December 2025 or later). In addition, our program requires that students have the support and endorsement of a home campus faculty mentor. Your home campus faculty mentor may be a tenured or untenured faculty member who is willing to support you after you return to your campus. Ideally, you should choose a mentor who has experience with research, publication, presentation, and applications to graduate school in the social sciences.
