The MS program features a comprehensive and balanced curriculum that builds a strong foundation in statistical methods, computational statistics, and statistical theory, while equipping students with advanced skills in machine learning, data science, bioinformatics, and biostatistics.
The MS program is offered in two modalities. One is delivered in-person on campus and the other is delivered via asynchronous distance education technology.
Choose Your Modality
-
On-Campus Modality
You will take a variety of statistics courses, complemented by elective courses of your choosing. These courses provide a breadth of training and depth of knowledge in an area of specialization. You may also have various opportunities for internship and teaching experiences (upon availability).
You will choose between the thesis and non-thesis options.
-
Distance Modality
The non-thesis distance program has the same rigor and courses as offered to the on-campus students but tailors the experience to working professionals in offering lectures and materials online to be viewed asynchronously. The program is kept sufficiently flexible to permit students to develop their specific interests. You are able to obtain an MS from Texas A&M University while enjoying the flexibility of maintaining your current career and location.
