Howdy and Welcome to Arts & Sciences!
This year, three colleges, Geosciences, Liberal Arts, and Science have come together to form the College of Arts and Sciences. At the heart of every great research university is consistent excellence across all the disciplines, programs, and initiatives that now have their home in this new college. A world class College of Arts and Sciences will accelerate Texas A&M’s continuing ascent among the leading universities of the nation and the world. General Info
As the center point of our university and the foundation upon which all degrees and discoveries are built, the College of Arts and Sciences seeks to leverage the tremendous strengths, investments and cultures of Texas A&M to create a critical mass with the power to transform all programs and priorities.
We will update here as plans develop and additional information becomes available during the summer months. In the meantime, some key dates to keep in mind are:
- New Student Conferences – May 19 - Aug. 19
- Howdy Week, Texas A&M’s annual week of welcome – Aug. 20-23
- Arts and Sciences Howdy Week Launch Event – Aug. 23, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., East Quad
- First day of classes, Fall 2022 – Aug. 24
- Art and Sciences Tailgate Kick-Off – Nov. 5
Admitted Students
- Degree programs and students' majors will not be affected by this College reorganization.
- All existing Geosciences, Liberal Arts and Science courses and degree programs will transfer to the College of Arts and Sciences as of Fall 2022. Each department's academic advisors are ready to help students with any and all questions. Please contact us at artsci@tamu.edu for help with any other questions.
- Contact our advising team for questions about registration, courses, and your first semester of classes, or visit Aggie One Stop.

Current Students

- Students graduating in May and August 2022 will be graduating within their original colleges (Geosciences, Liberal Arts or Science).
- The first graduating class for the College of Arts and Sciences will be December 2022.
- Current graduate students: For questions about research or funding in the College of Arts and Sciences, reach out to your advisor.
- Current international students: Visit International Student Services for information regarding tuition, enrollment requirements and other information related to the College of Arts and Sciences.
- For questions regarding tuition, visit Student Business Services.
- Moving to the College of Arts and Sciences does not mean you have to change your major. Your degree program will remain intact, and we have world class advisors available to assist you.

Prospective Students
