Biography
Brian Albanese is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences who began his career at Texas A&M on August 16, 2022. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Florida State University after completing a pre-doctoral internship at the Charleston Consortium in Charleston, South Carolina. His research employs a multi-method approach to better understand and treat transdiagnostic risk factors for anxiety-related conditions, with particular interest on PTSD and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. His research has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and several internal awards.
