The College of Arts & Sciences’ Lab Operations Team works to support a safe and efficient laboratory working environment for all researchers, as well as manage assets. The team works collaboratively with university Environmental Health & Safety as well as individual departments, including biology and chemistry.
The Lab Operations Team has two core functions:
- Support the laboratory safety, compliance, and operational needs of the college.
- Manage asset inventory and support departments with inventory and surplus activities.
The College of Arts & Sciences Laboratory Operations team is here to assist departments within the college with managing their safety and compliance needs in both research and teaching labs. In addition, we make recommendations for safe lab practices, promote a positive safety culture, and provide support in the management of day-to-day laboratory operations.
The College of Arts & Sciences Inventory & Property Control Coordinator manages asset inventory records, including preparing and submitting documentation for new purchases and transfers, and is available to help departments with preparing items for disposal in accordance with university requirements.
